How to cut hedges:
In order to obtain the desired shape, the young plants should be cut. The main shoot should remain intact until the plant reaches the desired size. The remaining shoots are cut in half. To avoid bare lower branches, cut it in the hedge trapezoidal shape. If you want to get straight lines, we recommend using straight wires.
Regular maintenance is essential. If the hedge is deformed, it is best to apply a strict cutoff. Please note, however, careful as there are some shrubs such as conifers, which are especially sensitive to this strict pruning the branches of old.
Shrubs that bloom in summer, and privet should be pruned in winter, during the rest of the vegetation. In early August, it is a new pruning. Must be taken of these times to not harm the birds and their incubation periods. The evergreen shrubs are pruned or needle in the spring, even before they burst, or in autumn. They should cut a little shoots all the old and new as possible to stimulate their growth. So get a thick hedge that will protect you from prying eyes.
If you see bald in the hedges, the ultimate solution is a good pruning. Please note, however, note that not all shrubs respond equally to this "rejuvenation cure."
The adelfa, common beech, leafy shrubs and perennials yew have a great capacity for regeneration. However, other shrubs needle regenerate very little or nothing.
